Privacy & Data Security

Your data, your trust

At Trandelion, we take your privacy and the security of your data very seriously.

How Trandelion processes your data

We use your data only to the extent necessary to provide our translation service. The data we process includes:

  • Spoken audio
  • Transcriptions (speech-to-text conversion)
  • Translated texts

No permanent storage

By default, Trandelion has no access to your audio fragments, transcriptions or translations. Processing follows these principles:

In-Memory Processing

Audio is immediately converted to text and translated in the working memory (RAM) of our servers. Once the information has been sent to the participants, it is erased from memory.

Session Management

If you choose to receive the transcription and translation after a session, this data is temporarily held in memory during the session. Immediately after delivery to you, all information is permanently deleted.

Optional Logging

Only at your explicit request (e.g. for technical investigation) can we enable 'audio logging'. In that case, fragments are retained for a maximum of 30 days for analysis, after which they are automatically deleted.

Third-Party Providers

For speech recognition, translation and speech synthesis, we use specialised third-party providers. We have carefully configured the privacy settings at each provider to maximally protect your data.

No model training

We deliberately opt out of model training at all our third-party providers. Your audio, transcriptions and translations are never used to train or improve AI models.

What our providers guarantee

  • No permanent storage: Audio and text are processed in real-time and removed immediately after processing by our partners.
  • Data processing in the EU: Processing takes place where possible within the European Union.
  • Certification: Our providers comply with strict standards, including ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR.
  • Separation from consumer data: Data sent via enterprise APIs is strictly separated from consumer data and never used for public services.

Questions about our privacy policy?

If you would like more information about our data processing or specific security measures, please contact our support team. If you wish to receive our data processing agreement or detailed information about how our third-party providers handle privacy, we are happy to provide this information upon request.
